 Mayor Kalnick

Mayor Michael C. Kalnick has served the community of Kings Point, where he has lived for more than 40 years, in a variety of roles, including village trustee, deputy mayor and as a member and chairman of the Board of Appeals. He is also a member and chairman of the LOSAP (Length of Service Award Program) for the Alert Fire Company and is a director and chairperson of the Water Authority of Great Neck North. Michael Kalnick is a senior partner in the law firm of Kalnick, Klee & Green, LLP in New York City.  He holds a Bachelor of Science from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce, University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in accounting, and a Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law.


 Deputy Mayor Harounian

Deputy Mayor David Harounian, a resident of Kings Point for 40 years, serves on the village’s Architectural Review Committee. He has been instrumental in establishing three Iranian synagogues in Great Neck and previously served on the board of Temple Israel of Great Neck, where he chairs the President's Advisory Board. He has been influential in establishing schools for children of rug weavers in Pakistan and India, creating institutions for the care and education of Israeli soldiers and children and has been recognized for numerous philanthropic projects by various agencies in the United States and abroad. In the mid-1960s, Village Trustee David Harounian established the American Orient Company of New York, which manufactures and imports hand-made Oriental Rugs. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University.


 Trustee Nematzadeh

Trustee Hooshang Nematzadeh, a resident of Kings Point for nearly 20 years, is also a member of the village’s Planning Board, where he brings an engineering background and extensive real estate development experience as president of Nemat Homes Inc. 

In his dedication to public service, he is immediate past president and an active member of the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce. He also serves his community as former Executive Vice President of the Iranian American Jewish Federation of New York and the United Mashadi Jewish Community of America. 

Trustee Hooshang Nematzadeh holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Bridgeport.

 Trustee Torkhan

Village of Kings Point Trustee Kouros “Kris” Torkan, With extensive knowledge of land use, real estate development and construction, Trustee Kouros “Kris” Torkan has been a valued member of the village’s Planning Board for many years. He joined the Board of Trustees in February of 2019.   A dedicated public servant and resident of Kings Point, Kris began his career in real estate in 1985, when he founded Villadom Corp. With its beginnings in residential development, building custom homes on Long Island’s Gold Coast, Villadom later expanded into the commercial markets, with an emphasis in high-end retail.


 Trustee Torkan

Ira S. Nesenoff, A Kings Point resident for more than 20 years, Trustee Ira S. Nesenoff has a long history of service to the village as a valued member of the Board of Zoning Appeals for nearly two decades. He brings vast legal and business experience and comprehensive knowledge of the real estate market as a managing partner of New York City law firm Nesenoff & Miltenberg where he focuses his practice on complex real estate transactions and litigation involving real estate matters. Like his neighbors, Ira cherishes the bucolic setting and quality of life afforded to those who choose to live and raise families in the Village of Kings Point. A dedicated public servant, Trustee Nesenoff stands by an unwavering commitment to making decisions as a village official in the best interest of the residents. When time allows, Ira enjoys traveling, photography, alpine and cross country skiing, road and mountain biking, and basketball.
